I am a landscape and garden design consultant for residential projects.  I blog as Miss R as well as part of the Garden Designers Roundtable and Designers on Design.  Beginning in 2011 I will be a Contributing Editor for Horticulture magazine with a regular column about landscape and garden design. Additionaly, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.

I have spent my adult life as a designer in several incarnations. I currently practice residential landscape design in the New York metro region.  I have an opinion about just about everything and am an observer of many things.  I include those observations here since I believe in that all input affects the output–it’s not just about the plants!  I hope you find it inspiring, though provoking and interesting enough to participate in the ongoing conversation.
